I wish I was an Artist so I could paint the world with everyone smiling,
I wish I was a Singer so I could let the world hear what's in my heart,
I wish I was a Writer so I could help people understand my desire,
I wish I was a Actor so I could show you my feelings,
I wish I was more than an ordinary man.
As an ordinary man I work, provide and love my family,
As an ordinary man I cherish my friend and those around me,
As an ordinary man I have a dream that more people will show they care,
As an ordinary man I need your help to write my ending to this dream.
I dream of a world with a mission,
I dream of people actively helping others in a cause,
I dream that one day our children will not know despair.
The Child Smile Network has been created out of a dream.
My dad died from complications from diabetes. My son, very much like your child is wonderful and inspiring, but one day like yourself we truly hope that day never arrives, but his mother has diabetes which makes him a very good candidate. As an ordinary man, what if I could do something today to help prevent my son, or possibly your son or daughter from experiencing what my dad and millions of our children are dealing with every day?
I know you care and I also know that if you could, you would help. Help me write the ending to my dream.....
